Noisy females
Post Body

I have a year old female IRN and she is the noisiest bird I’ve EVER met The loudest and continues screeching for hours on end. There’s nothing wrong. I took her to the vet because I thought there was. Was told she’s just noisy. I love my birds all of them and give them everything and then some. However this morning since 530 am she’s been carrying on ridiculous and the only time she will stop screeching is when she’s on my shoulder. I have other things to do in the house that I cannot have her on me. One being I have a bully that can’t stand her. So she goes up to her play stand and most of the time will keep busy until I’m done with the dogs. Today it’s not been the case. She just screeches it’s been going on all day I’ve given her chop and treats and toys and all she wants to do is screech. Am I missing something ? Is this what they do when in heat? I cleaned her crate left it same way I haven’t adjusted anything. My males are quiet. Ya barely know they’re around. I guess she makes up the noise for everybody. Any suggestions? Just wondering if because I allowed her to be with me most of the day at home that it’s behaviour issues or if it’s something else or that’s just the female IRN in general?

Good. Don’t enforce the behaviour ignoring is the best thing but birds are wild animals so they do scream a lot it’s totally normal no matter how loud and annoying they can be

We could even call if you have more questions. I worked with exotics and bred birds I know my good share of stuff and have owned a female ring neck myself!

I would also have so many questions like did you give her more attention when you got her than now or how was she in her past home.
