Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some ideas for activities to do with my 13-year-old daughter when is here for visitation. We share custody, so she's here every other weekend, and one week on, one week off during the summer. I want to make sure she has fun and feels like she's getting to spend quality time with me, but I'm also at a loss for ideas.
She's really into girly stuff like shopping or getting her nails done. She's also into active stuff like sports and playing outside. She's also a bit of a bookworm, so I'm always looking for new books to recommend to her.
She lives about an hour away from me, so she can’t really do things with her friends on a whim as she could at home, and unfortunately, she hasn’t met anyone here.
I'm open to any and all suggestions! We live in a relatively large city (Jacksonville, FL), so there are plenty of options for things to do. We also have a car, so we can travel to other places if necessary.
One caveat is that I’ll be working during the day next week, but fortunately, I work in sales and I am able to come home periodically to check on her. Also to note, my 10-year-old son (her brother) will be here too.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Sincerely, A Dad Who Wants to Make His Daughter Happy
