Iāve been a paralegal for 6.5 yrs, I work at a small firm doing construction defect and PI but I definitely am not enjoying it. No sick days, gotta use PTO for everything, āhybrid positionā but people get passive aggressive when I telework, etc.
I just got hired to do contracted work for a firm where I do love the work. Iām waiting to hear back from some other firms about contract work. My goal is to get enough contract work to leave my job, start a small LLC or S Corp for my contracted work to get a tax break and just work from home essentially.
Can anyone who has any experience in this kind of stuff reach out or comment? Iām new to all this, my parents are business owners so they are assisting me with advice on that end but anything is welcome.
