What is your experience working for Legal Aid?

After a month, I finally got offered a job as paralegal for Texas Legal Aid. I believe the department is going to be focused primarily on low income families and veterans. My background has always been personal injury.
Has anyone worked in Legal Aid before? I was told it's a lot of advocacy work. I am excited for this.
