Just got hired as an Intake Specialist/paralegal for a civil legal aid and am looking for pointers on things to pay attention to and study as a beginner.
Post Body

Hey everyone thanks for reading,

The title says it all, I’ve been hired as an intake specialist/paralegal for a civil legal aid in CA. I have a bachelors degree and have worked for my firm for 1 year as an administrative support clerk ,(aka receptionist/file clerk) prior to being hired. We specialize in landlord tenant law, public benefits (social security, Medi-cal, etc.), employment law, and educational law. Any particular books, laws, procedures, or general advice I should adhere to as a newbie to the realm of paralegal work would help greatly. Thanks for reading and good luck out there all!
