So in Paragon, there's five affinities and a color associated with them: * Order - White * Knowledge - Blue * Death - Black * Chaos - Red * Growth - Green
In Magic: the Gathering, there's five colors of Mana, each representing a philosophy and method: * White - order, unity, purity, law * Blue - Knowledge, curiosity, intellect, memory, thought * Black - Death, resurrection, ambition * Red - Chaos, emotion, passion * Green - Nature, growth, strength
Notice the similarity yet? ;)
In Magic: the Gathering, these five colors of mana were combined into "guilds" in the critically and popularly acclaimed plane/sets of Ravnica, a single city that covers an entire plane in the multiverse.
Magic players often use these guilds as shorthand for each two-color combination, instead of red-blue (or in our case, Chaos-Knowledge).
Here are the guilds and their color combinations: * Azorious - White-Blue aka Order-Knowledge * Orzhov - White-Black aka Order-Death * Boros - White-Red aka Order-Chaos * Selesnya - White-Green aka Order-Growth * Dimir - Blue-Black aka Knowledge-Death * Izzet - Blue-Red aka Knowledge-Chaos * Simic - Blue-Green aka Knowledge-Growth * Rakdos - Black-Red aka Death-Chaos * Golgari - Black-Green aka Death-Growth * Gruul - Red-Green aka Chaos-Growth
I suggest we can use these as a short-hand for describing the color combinations of our decks.
