The issue with the Paradox launcher isn't the launcher itself...

...but the very concept of launchers. Like, some games from other companies (EA and Ubisoft, I'm looking at you) are basically unplayable unless you install loads of third party shit on your computer, and give said companies everything from your data to your soul.
I'd rather Paradox not go down that road as well - sure, I doubt they will ever do microtransactions and NFTs like some other companies, even though their DLC policies make methamphetamine addiction seem cheap, but... I'm kinda scared, guys. XD
