I am sure we can all agree that not all of us can afford a PC powerful enough to be used by NASA on a daily basis; in fact, some of us might be financially challenged people who need to bring their own laptop to school or work.
Now, my toaster can run Crusader Kings II but, even after a dozen performance boosting tricks, it still runs kind of slow, especially in the last few centuries of the campaign.
I was thinking, a certain game developer I won't name included a "laptop mode" in a certain game I won't name, a game that shares with Crusader Kings a reputation for being favoured by the sociopath in all of us, despite its family friendly appearance.
So, why can't Crusader Kings III include something similar, some kind of pre-packaged, but fully moddable, way to make the game run on even the most shite piece of hardware?
Many of us could care less about graphics for example, and would not mind playing on a 2D version of the game with an aesthetic inspired by that of the very first game in the series, and many of us might prefer to play on a smaller map, too, especially those who end up playing in and around the same region(s) of the world.
You do this, guys, and your sales would increase to such an extent you'd be able to head to the next con wearing armours of solid gold.
