i was on r/actuallesbians when i made a comment about my displeasure that glaad doesn't really talk about pan or omni folks on their website other than to say they are the same as bisexuality. a bi woman told me that being pan is exactly the same as being bi (if that's the case, why do we have our own flag) which felt really invalidating. a lesbian was asking me about nuances and we got into a discussion after which she was like, "they seem the same". i'm the first person to say that there are lots of similarities, but when coming out finding the nuances was really helpful for me especially since bi didn't feel like it fit
