Possible Pancreatitis?
Post Body

Hey everyone. Lately I've had some pretty weird symptoms and I'm hoping to get some input from people who have had experience.

For the past month or two I've had on and off diarrhea (steatorrhea from the look of it), never lasting long enough for me to be concerned. But steadily growing in frequency until it's all the time. The part that worries me the most is that I've dropped a lot of weight. At first I thought I had some kind of weird food allergy and saw the doctor about that. An unrelated rash kind of threw me off there. But now my doctor and I are focusing on whatever what might be pancreatitis. All my blood work so far has come back normal, except for my lipase which was 86 (upper limit of normal is 60 in this test). So - high but not super-high.

But aside from pancreatitis I have no idea what else this could be, I have no pain or jaundice so I dunno what's going on. Right now I'm waiting on more testing and an ultrasound to the pancreas and gall bladder. In the meantime, I'm freaking out. Does this sound like pancreatitis to you? I'm not really enjoying being this week's episode of "House".
