Post Body

In September I had intense pain in upper stomach (about 5 hours). Went to the ER. Blood levels and CT scans were good. They said it was stomach lining and gave me an rx for that.

1/2 had the same intense pain (5 hours) and rode it out at home. I followed up with me Dr later in the week. Lipase #s were high. Had CT scan and MRI. Both showed normal.

I was drinking the day/night before both episodes.

Dr assumed alcohol induced pancreatitis. Does this seem right even though the 3 scans were normal? Told me not to drink anymore. I haven't had any since.

As time has gone on, it makes me wonder if this is the right diagnosis with the 3 scans being normal and the first time lipase #s were fine.

Thanks
