Hi everyone, thank you for being here. My husband was diagnosed with Stage IV PC after several months of back pain that was assumed to be muscular. After a disastrous clinical trial that put him in the ICU heās had two rounds of Gem/Abrax but only every other week because his platelets were too low to be more aggressive with treatment. His most recent scan shows that he has āinnumerableā tumors on the liver now, as well as evidence of cirrhosis. His pancreatic tumor has not changed much. Heās lost so much weight even though his appetite has been okay, itās like the cancer is taking it all. Heās also very tired. Mentally heās convinced heās going to die soon. The onco is still optimistic given his age (50) but everything I read online about his symptoms suggests otherwise. Not really seeking advice as every case is different but itās just frustrating to not know if he will be here tomorrow or for the next few months or if things will improve ever. Thanks for reading.
