Bridge closure frequency during hurricane season

Headed to PC for work but want to stay in PCB if possible. The storm today brought up conversation about the bridge closing due to wind speeds. How often does this happen the last few hurricane seasons? Is there a way to Panama City from the beach side that doesn’t involve the bridge like around the airport or is there a bridge every direction
Any stories and warnings in situations like this?
