I have a 125 gallon aquarium that Iām thinking of turning into a paludarium. Iām planning on planting plenty of plants (philodendron, pothos, ficus, pilea, bromeliads) in a fluffy, water-retaining, moss-based substrate. In the forest floor lies leaf litter. I also want to add a false bottom. I want to add millipedes, isopods, springtails, fire-bellied toads, a group of crickets, and eastern newts. I have a mist maker, but Iām wondering, how often should I water the aquarium, and how often should I mist it with my mist maker?
