Rethinking shrimp

Post Body
My original plan was to put shrimp in with vampire crabs for my paludarium (I don’t have anything but isopods in there, now, it’s still cycling)
My concern is that the shrimp will find their way into the lava rocks I have at the bottom, and I won’t be able to access them.
I also may not have enough water in my set up with 80/20 in a 10 gallon tank. (There’s actually probably only a gallon of water in the tank, total, including what’s in the false bottom)
Thoughts?
