Need some help with this

We just bought this house and the previous owner did not mention any issues regarding the palms, I noticed some bark falling off only to find some infestation of something in parts of the trunk. The holes are big, so I imagine something larger than the ants I saw made them. The ants were the size of sugar ants. I sprayed both trees with insecticide. Here in Louisiana some people use concrete to fill in damaged trees. If you didn’t see the damage the tree would appear 100% healthy.
What are my options. I really don’t want to remove them.
