That’s weird, right?
Palm Beach County commissioners have constituencies as large as representatives in the Florida state assembly.
If someone were to tell you there was a country with 1,500,000 people and their legislative branch only had 7 members, would you consider that very democratic or representative? No, it would be considered an oligarchy.
The Palm Beach charter needs to be amended to drastically increase the size of its county commission and its school board.
