What's true about you today that could make your 8-year-old self cry?

Post Body

I read that question in an article that was about finding life mission/ goal if one feels lost. As a 30 something, this made me stop in my tracks (or rather screen scrolling).

I'm putting down my answer below which should not in any way frame the question. I'm curious to know how you will answer this.

For me: He'd be shocked to learn how over conscious I'd become towards self validation. By my age, the 8 year old self would go through a lot of bullying (school, college, university, offices since I changed a number of jobs) and shed off that bold, confident, carefree attitude. Over time, I've progressed (development sector) and have become good at what I do. But digging out this answer has helped me rediscover what I'd lost as a result of peer pressure during adolescence and adulthood.
