Post Body

Hi, I am your neighbour from India. This is the holy month of Ramadan so I want to thank all the Pakistani guys who have helped me in last 3 years. Before 2019, I was just another guy who had knowledge about Pakistan from history books, India Pak cricket match and famous rock bands.

Later when I moved to UAE I met Pakistanis face to face and had lot of interactions. It was an eye opener for me. There are so many incidents when they helped me above and beyond. The very next day I landed in Dubai, I boarded a taxi as my phone internet was not working. It was my first day at job and the driver drove me to the place which was very near. He refused to accept money as it was my first day and I was new there and getting late. He just said: Bhaijaan dua kar Dena mere bachho k lie.

Later on, just outside of a mall, my shoe sole got entirely broken and detached. 2 Pakistan guys noticed that. I went to then to ask for cobbler nearby. I can't believe, 1 guy ran towards his car and brought a pair of chappal. Then he took of his shoes and gave it to me. I can't believe that this actually happened. Without their help I would have had to walk barefoot in a mall in dubai. That would be embarassing.

Another time, I wanted to send some unused furniture to my friend staying in another city. I hired a car lift which is popularly known as pathan taxi. I was jobless that time and did not want to spend much. The driver had plaster in 1 hand and driving with 1 hand. I told him please accept less due to my situation and he agreed. Later on my friend told me that guy carried all furnitures upstairs without charge when he saw my friend was pregnant, wished her luck and gave her the money which I gave him as fee. In my 30 years of life in india, I never saw anyone in India helping me above n beyond like this. I don't live in dubai anymore. But my stay in dubai was wonderful due to the interaction and help from fellow Pakistanis. How can I forget the super talkative taxi drivers who would talk as if we are old friends. So, thank you all for your support. You guys are wonderful. Hope this Eid and Ramadan brings you happiness and prosperity. I am sure our paths will cross again some day in Sharjah or Dubai.
