Post Body

Hi, I recently discovered that in the biography of my great-grandfather’s book of poetry, it mentions that his father migrated from somewhere called Turan to modern day Azad Kashmir. Doing a little digging online shows that the usage of the term Turan meant different things ethnically and geographically to various civilisations. My parents and relatives who are quite young don’t seem to know too much.

I would love to be able to get an idea of what he meant when he used the term. I’m hoping someone has heard something so I could narrow the search down to where it would be in today’s maps. Have you heard this term being used by any of the elders?
