Hey all,
I have a client whose house was painted just 3 years ago but it is already peeling, leaking tannins, and bubbling. To make matters worse, the siding is delaminating.
The previous contractor also did not scrape properly, prime, or wait for the siding to be dry prior to applying paint.
I would like to help reslove this client's issues and as far as I know the best and only hope for a positive outcome would be to do a full scrape, full sand, full prime with an slow dry oil primer, and finish with 2 topcoats of a high quality paint that is lighter ie emerald not duration.
Have any of you been able to bring about a positive outcome in a situation like this? They are a young family on a single income. The client makes very good money but would like to ensure that he has a painting job that will last.
How would you advise addressing this issue?
