Hello there, beautiful people. I have yet to find good visual representations of the god Lugh from Irish mythology. There are some descriptions in old texts and some statues etc but not many. Maybe I've just looked in the wrong places.
What are your favourite depictions/symbols of Lugh, and why? If you follow the Welsh or other versions that is OK too.
The common symbols seems to be the spear, the sun or grain etc. Most of the texts I've come across refer to him as a young warrior with beautiful long hair, in some kind of Cloak. What makes it even more confusing is the whole shape-shifting mania in Irish mythology, haha.
I guess my personal view of Lugh is less leaning towards the warrior side, and more towards the trickster god/harvest/sun aspects. But anyway, what do you all think?
