As the title says I am a beginner at this religion. I have separated myself from my past religion, Christianity, at least spiritually, as I am still forced to go to church and participate in its activities. However, desperation came about and I am now worshipping some type of god of solitary, darkness, silence, peace, and the sky.

Most of my worship involve meditations when I can clearly see the sky, I stand there and communicate my ires and my struggles to my god. I have also drawn some sigils for my spiritual protection so that my spirit will not be proselytized into believing in my past religion once again. I am also writing a diary (or a grimoire???) to explain my sigils my prayers and my worship to my god. Also, i hold no belief to astrology whatsoever, i simply am not interested in that topic nor is my heart and spirit really into it and I think it is super relevant since i worship the night sky.

And also the only research i have done about rituals and paganism is this one book by a guy. This book is very notorious for being creepy to the general public and it is a common occurence that you will find it from an old person's house. Edit: the book contains several rituals and things such as principals (an object very emotionally tied to you) and having an altar with objects representing 4 elements.

That is all I am doing when it comes to my journey to paganism and spirituality, should i be doing something else? Am I set in the right path? Should I include astrology to my spirituality? All answers are appreciated
