I have a bioactive viv with a decent sized pond for my whites tree frogs to swim in. For some reason the water continues to get a oily/ cloudy film on the water, no hands go in so itโs not skin oil, the best we can think is itโs something from the frogs themselves, pee maybe. Water is not stagnant and water changes are done ever 3-4 days. Is there a part of a live clean up crew that can help with this? Should I root plants in it? How do I deter the filmy substance that sits on top of the water. There are isopods and springtails in the enclosure.
