I think Duarte’s 30 piece put them over the edge
“The decision to part ways was mutual between the Nets and Nash, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.”
Assistant to the assistant coach
He didn’t seem like a good coach at all. Defensively you could tell he was a really bad coach. I don’t put any of the offense on him tho bc he probably didn’t have enough control over KD and Kyrie. Was a bad fit at best bc nets need a defensive minded coach since their 2 big stars are mainly iso scorers
That’s why I do not judge his offensive coaching. But his defensive coaching is bad if you watched closely. He doesn’t have defensive minded players on his team and it was mostly on him to call the right calls on defense. Then Duarte goes out and drops 30. Game before pacers shot a franchise record. Those were on him. Yeah it’s on the players too but there isn’t any players on that roster calling shots on defense like there is on offense
And he was never a defensive player in his playing days. And his offense was mostly run and gun. Doesn’t translate well to coaching a team
Fuck assistant coach his schemes were god awful all around. Let him just be a player mentor to the next point god hali

It’d be blasphemy if Indiana didn’t hire Larry legend there’d be riots in French Lick. Shit lakers hired Magic for like half a year 🤣
