Venting I'm so frustrated with this team. Coming into this season I was feeling so optimistic, but this has been the most disappointing Pacers season I can remember. There have been worse teams, but I'm not sure there have been worse letdowns.
The team never seemed to gel, and Nate II's system never really seemed to work. I'm actually not even sure Nate II has a system. Obviously I'm referring to the offense, because anyone who watched any if the Pacers this season knows the defense was astoundingly bad (yeah, yeah. I know. The defensive net rating puts them in the middle of the pack, but the defense was garbage to watch).
I know we had injuries. It would be easy to buy into the idea that getting TJ and Myles healthy and maybe plugging in a new coach could make these guys competitive next season. I'm sure if that's what we have in October, that's how I'll feel. But I'm not feeling great about the future of this team right now, and going out with a blowout loss to Washington seems incredibly appropriate.
