Question for the hivemind-
I'm looking to expand my cargo area, and I'm considering a Thule or Yakima roof box in the 18-21 cu ft range. I'm wondering how water and dust-proof they are though. Being so large makes them slightly flexible as distance from the latch/hinge increases, and that's seldom good for the ability of weatherstripping to work. I'd want to carry bulky, soft goods like tent, blankets, sleeping bags up here so getting wet and/or dusty would be a real drag.
Any practical experience with these? Any other durability concerns?
