Anyone drill/modify their prinsu awning brackets?

New FSR awning arrived. I need to use the upper hole on the bracket in order for enough clearance with the door on my 4Runner.
Anyone see any trouble with drilling another hole or lengthening the slot? I really don’t feel right about just rocking down the road with only three bolts in this thing.
