A big slip up

Not me, but 15 years or so ago, hiring a regional sales manager and asking questions , typical interview crap.
He tells me that the most difficult thing he's ever had to do was to fire his number one sales rep. Here. It turns out the guy had two sales jobs, Both direct employed full time roles at both with company car.
This manager showed up for ride along and to go to a big meeting, the employee picked him up in the wrong car.
