I’m looking to OE. I’ve researched and looked through and read most posts here.
Current role is mix bag title but in reality do a bit of everything; IT Support Specialist II.
The role feel more like III and has had tasks from managing and administering Azure, management work project management (small), budgeting the list goes on.
Me specifically Mac sysadmin should be thrown in there as I laid the ground work for the eventual shift to MDM and increased the user base in just a few years.
Truth be told I do like an hour to 4 at the most of work a day. I do enough work that don’t really answer phones but not enough that I’m pulled in constant meetings.
I would like to do something that’s complementary to my current work and skill set but unsure if there is a match or go full SWE or coding. Im not a SWE and pick things up pretty quickly. But I’m not sure if I would be able to jump into entry level.
Any other upper tier help/servicedesk peoples make OE work? I have been coasting for about a 2 years and have enjoyed extra time but would like to get even 50% more to achieve certain goals.
Thoughts? Thanks all.
