I've had my setup for some time & have had the 6700k OCed to 4.5Ghz core & cache (just can't reach 4.6 stable even with stock cache frequency without going over 1.4v with highest LLC) from day one basically. I got it tuned in now running the mentioned CPU speeds with XMP enabled on my 3200Mhz RAM at 1.296v, but a basically static 1.296v. I stressed my CPU with CPU-Z & ran Watch Dogs 2 for a couple mins before taking that pic.
I've been running this OC for around 2 yrs without any issues. I should also mention that the multiplier does drop 8 & the wattage the CPU is pulling drops to 18w when the system is not under load. Although the voltage remains static.
So I figured it'd be worth asking if it's much more detrimental to run with a static voltage like I am (even though the multiplier drops to 8 & the wattage drops to 18 when idle) vs figuring out how to set up adaptive voltage for my board & using it. I have no temp or stability issues with my current settings so I let it go for so long since it was a "if it ain't broke don't fix it" type situation to me TBH.
