First overclock - i5-3570k at 4.5Ghz, looking for some advice.
Post Body

So recently I decided that my i5-3570k wasn't performing how I wanted to so I decided to look into overclocking. I read the guide for my generation in the sidebar, but I was still a little lost so I found a guide specific to my motherboard (Gigabyte Z77-UD3H)

In the guide I watched, they simply change the boost multiplier to the desired multiplier and leave everything else on auto. I decided to give this a shot, changed my boost multipliers to 45 and ran a couple of stability tests.

Ran prime95 for about 10 minutes and seen that the max Vcore pulled was 1.338, and max temps reached was 88C. I DO have a heatsink, so I know that the temps are on the high side, but I decided to test it for normal use. While gaming, the highest voltage it pulled was 1.28, and temps were in the 60C range which I know is a lot better.

Would this be a safe OC to use? Will I see a decrease in lifespan for my chip at these voltages? I am planning on messing with it more a little bit later, I found a better guide that manually adjusts voltage and looks to be a LOT more stable since my Vcore will fluctuate with usage which I understand isn't what you wan't to see, but I figured as long as it's staying below 1.4 and I keep an eye on my temps, it's not dangerous.
