So, I have a RTX 3070 Galax and I want to try my first overclock, but I really don't know much about it and almost every time, when people are referring to OC they mean CPU OC.
So, I was hoping you guys could help me. Is it safe, doing it only by the MSI Afterburner? Is it worth it? I'm not willing to go anything beyond that for OC, and I read it here on reddit that with these actual GPUs it's really hard, if not impossible, to damage them through software overclocking.
My objective on this is like everyone else; to gain more FPS. I want to play Resident Evil 2, Red Dead Redemption 2 and more games in 4K with 60fps, and unfortunately, I usually sit in 45-55fps. I was hoping that doing OC it could actually leave me in the 60FPS mark.
Currently, my rig is:
RTX Galax 3070
Intel Core i5 12400f
HyperX Fury 2x16 3600mhz
Corsair CV650W
TUF Gaming B660-M Plus D4
Thanks in advance!
