Many years ago, I pulled the plug on Cable TV and stopped watching the News. I feel I am better off now, having focused my time on research, learning and writing. I usually read 4 to 6 books a month on the subject matter I am writing on, go on-line to do research on my subject matter and write between 1,000 to 3,000 words a day - in my journal and on a book I am writing (this is my 4th - its been ages since I have published traditionally).
I was taught years ago that learning is a life-long process. It keeps my mind active and open to new ideas. Everyone has a book inside them. One has to learn how to put one's experience down on paper. It's like pulling teeth and there are a long of distractions to overcome. Each of us has a story to tell. We just need to learn to focus and be more creative with our own minds. Something to THINK about.
