Hello All - Looking for like minded Mature People for Conversation - Charlotte NC

Why is is so difficult to meet other mature people? Part of it has to do with the Covid Pandemic & Lock downs. The other part must be that many mature people are not into computers and chatting. I wish I could meet someone local for interesting and intelligent conversation (NO Politics). I am a retired, WM; well educated, with a background in Engineering, Technology and Education. I miss having people around for good conversation. Self Isolation and Social Distancing is giving me cabin fever. Anyone else feel the same way? I'd enjoy hearing from others.
