My partner is almost always cold unless its 90 degrees out. It makes sense because she has almost no body fat, but she loves to be outside enjoying nature and can only do that comfortably in the summer- which is like 2 months long here.
I told her i think if we get her the right gear she will stay warm and dry without feeling like the michelin man in 10 layers of clothes, and she's agreed to go to rei with me and get some stuff to extend our adventures into spring and fall.
So my question to all of you is what are your favorite base layers, jackets and anything else helpful in this endeavour that we should look at? Hoping for reasonable prices, we aren't trying to spend patagucci money. Thanks in advance!!
Tl;dr: need recs for gear to keep warm and dry without feeling bulky or restricted while walking, hiking etc in 35-45deg weather. Reasonably priced/budget oriented.
