My readiness score is always terrible for one reason: Oura thinks I am too active and I need to rest. But I am just an active 49 year old mom and business owner. I play 90 minutes of doubles tennis 2 or three times a week. I try to use the rowing machine for 20 minutes 3 times a week. I try to do three short (20 min) strength training sessions three times a week. Sometimes I throw in some yoga. Sometimes I go for a hike with a friend or walk the dogs. That’s all.
I am not training for a marathon or on a college sports team. I just like to do something active every day. I work from home so it is easy to be sedentary and I could probably stand to lose 10 or 20 lbs so I really don’t need Oura telling me to take it easy every day.
Is there anything I can do to recover better? Help Oura get used to my activity level? Is there something else I should address to improve my readiness score? Sleep scores are usually good - in the 80s. Body measurements are all usually optimal. I have had Oura for a year, gen 2 now switched to 3. Anyone else have this issue?
