In 2023 I had built up an unfortunate habit of having a drink or two most nights, so to reset my relationship with alcohol, I’ve been doing Dry January. And the result in Oura is quite telling.
The first screen shot is from November 28, the second from January 28. I know single day results are just that, a snapshot of the day, but each of these are quite representative for the period they were taken.
I am flabbergasted!
I had two weeks holiday in December (which is why I didn’t include that month) and my HRV was up around 40-50, and I was happy about moving into a more healthy range. Then I stopped drinking, and the very next week it crept up around 70, which I was amazed by. Now it’s mostly around 100!
