I’ve really been struggling with executive disfunction and severe depression lately, so I’ve been surviving off of snacks and Uber Eats. I’m trying to get back on track and thought that getting prepared foods delivered would be a good idea. Sort of like Hello Fresh but I want the actual recipe cooked. I have no energy or ability to cook for myself so meal lit services are out (that’s besides how inflexible they are).
My problem is that all of the services I’ve found have strict menus. I’m Autistic and have severe sensory and taste issues. I’m also a vegetarian. I can eat a very, very small number of types of food and even slight changes (eg. too much sauce on mac and cheese) make food inedible for me. Yes, I have been and currently go to therapy.
So my question is - are there any services that can help me? Are private chefs an option? Meal prep is very hard for me, and seeing the work that goes into a meal can stop me from eating it. I really need to just get two/three meals a day that I can pick up/have delivered once or twice a week and then heat up as needed.
I have a generous budget for this, however I’m not rich. I think my budget would he 150$-200$ a week however if it will cost more I’ll be able to work something out. I’m really desperate!
Again, I am in treatment and have been for 15 years. I deserve to have a balanced diet even with my restrictions. I’m aware of how privileged this all sounds, but I’m lucky enough to be able to afford to cater to my needs. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
