Having moved to Ottawa from a small town I always enjoy the nuances of the big city that makes the Capital of Canada what it is.
One of the things that I always find amusing is how everyone is always in a rush but no one seems to be moving quickly. That is, of course, until someone is trying to catch their bus and then people you never thought you'd see running are sprinting as if their life is in danger. $2,000 Armani suit? You better run to catch that bus. Arms full of shopping bags and an iced coffee in hand? You're running too! The list goes on but I don't see the need to beat a dead horse.
All joking aside I find that those small acts help me remember that everyone in the city has their own agenda for the day and then people become more than just a crowd. I'm sure I sound like a lunatic right now but that's okay!
