UPDATE 7/5/18 -- You are all so amazing. THANK YOU! I'm trying to fight back the tears that have collected over the past day of reading your replies, and I promise I will get to them all as I'm diligently taking notes. My dev is going to take some time as I want to get this done right, but every suggestion so far has just sparked such a frenzy of inspiration in me. From the deepest part of my heart, thank you!

Hey friends; longtime lurker, first time poster. I love you all and I hardly even know you.
Let me cut straight to the point. I'm currently in the process of developing an otome-based YouTube channel (with some varying anime themes and other elements). As it stands, there is a variety of different types of tubes out there that range in content. I'm hoping to fill a niche that, as an otome fan, I've found myself seeking out. Oftentimes when I find playthroughs by chapter, I don't particularly like the narration-based videos. That's not to say that there isn't merit in them, however I'm looking to create content based more like a commentary/podcast that incorporates elements of streaming. That all sounds pretty vague (pretty?) but I'm still in my grassroots of fleshing out ideas for myself.
So here's the rub -- I need to know what you want out of this genre when you look online. What do you primarily search for when you go to Youtube, or Google? What would you find most entertaining, or enjoyable, when looking for a playthrough video? Do you want to see top ten lists, or do you want actual commentary on the likability of characters versus the overarching story? Do you like comparison videos, or do you simply prefer to watch someone play through an entire story with either commentary or just music?
As North American otome popularity is increasing (even with the recent announcement to switch gears into the Switch -- see what I did there?) I think there is a definite growing interest. I want to be able to bring something new to the landscape; I'm not asking for any sort of divine answer, just honest suggestions for the types of things you'd like to see. Who better to ask than the people I know who love this genre the most?
Any feedback would be appreciated beyond belief, as I begin my venture into creating an otome community, and I thank you well in advance for any discussion you help create. I will owe you my life.
