A. I'm a wolf therian. Before I found the therian or otherkin communities, I just knew I was a wolf or werewolf. The only "explanation" I had was that I was a werewolf somehow, except unable to physically transform. But the common things from werewolf lore didn't apply to me. I wasn't cursed, afaik. Neither silver, the full moon or iron had any effect on me. I had never been bitten by anyone. I'm not aggressive.

Only the the aspects of werewolves that were based in actual wolf behaviour seemed to fit.

When I found the therian community and read about people with all these different theriotypes, and how some has been mistaken at first, I did my research. I compared my instincts, urges, dreams etc with information about animals. I tried to keep an open mind. What if I wasn't a wolf, but maybe a dhole, or lion or a crab-eating fox?! But everything always came back to wolf, maybe coywolf. Very run-of-the-mill. But it fits. It's me.

B. I don't. Sometimes it even feels distracting and uncomfortable. A faux fur tail only reminds me of what I don't have. A mask gets in the way for sniffing, biting, licking. Which is why I only wear stuff like that at special occasions, like Halloween. It's for looking "right", not for feeling right.

The only exception is really mild versions. Like sharpening my nails to claws, or wearing eyeliner to make my eyes look more "carnivore".

C. I don't run into them much, I guess because I don't spend time online among haters and trolls. Offline, people know I'm a reliable and sane person.
