Run a shortcut when I logout / lock my machine

I run a VM on Azure for doing dev work on. I have a shortcut I can run to shutdown / start up.
Is there a way I could have that run automatically? (or have anything run) at logout / screen lock / login / screen unlock
Running on an M2 MBP if it matters.
