I just thought of a fun idea of having a second leaderboard for Osu! which can possibly show a more accurate representation different side of skill to the current pp system but it will by no means replace it hence why I say a second leaderboard.

The idea is quite simple, all maps still give the same pp based on the same formula currently used, but the only catch is that the pp can only be submitted from ONE PLAY on any given ranked map. No retries are allowed whatsoever, not even from mod changes, so your PP is going to heavily rely on reading skills, consistency and possibly memory if you've played the map already before. This will also eliminate the scores of people who spam retry a map until they FC it so it should be a more accurate representation of consistency which is hard to grasp in the current pp system - only really shows on long maps.

The next thing is, even though people can't spam retry, they can still spam tons of maps until they get lots of 'fluke' FCs let the weighted scores add up so instead of using the weighting system, this second leaderboard will have no weighting at all, and only take the total of your top 10 pp scores. This makes the judgement of the skill level of people who are good but only play 1 hr a day compared to people who are worse but can play 10 hours a day more accurate.

Finally, to stop all the lucky and fluke FC's filling up the 10 pp scores overtime, the leaderboard will also reset every 2 weeks (or another set time) so you won't really have enough time to fluke FC 10 maps that are above your actual skill level.

This ladder isn't suppose to be anything serious, I just thought it would be a fun and interesting idea and I would actually like to see how I would do every 2 weeks with this - though I doubt it would be easy to implement.
