Should I take my biology class next semester?
Post Body

I finally got a chance to talk to the general surgeon. He told me that his recommendation was for me to get a colostomy bag after much discussion. I'm excited and I tried to get the soonest date possible which is January 12th.

The dilemma I have is that's only a few days before I start my second semester of college which is when I plan on moving into the dorm. I know I'll be fine to take my online classes, but I need to take my biology class in-person. If I don't take my biology class next semester then I might be 1-2 semesters behind on graduating because I need the biology class for a prerequisite.

If I drop the biology class then I still have enough credits to be a full-time student. I really want to take the class, but I also don't want to take the class if the surgery is going to keep me out of the classroom for more than a week because it would be difficult to miss out on instruction and possibly miss part of the labs for the class.

I wasn't able to take the classes I wanted last semester because I had to switch to online last minute due to my health and I Don't want to deal with that again. I've barely been able to take any classes related to my major yet and I'm already about to finish my first semester.
