SSH for dummies
Post Body

Probably a rudimentary question, but I need to know. When I ssh connect to a target and want to download a file using the scp command, it asks for a password for the key. I'm assuming you wouldn't use your own password, so I made a new key pair and uploaded that to the target, so i could use a passphrase. In a a lab this all works, but in the real world to retain privacy.. am I doing this right? Thanks!
