Paul Giamatti has for a very long time been an underrated and underappreciated actor. He has never failed to both captivate and steal the show for every single movie he's ever been in. It's criminal to me he didn't get nominated for Sideways back in 2004
However, The Holdovers may very well be his greatest performance yet. A criminally underrated movie that I haven't seen yet the love it deserves
I know Cillian is going to walk away with Best Actor, it's practically a shoe-in. Which to me is criminal, because Giamatti just gave not only his best performance but arguably one of the finest performances I've seen in some time (and better than Murphy in Oppenheimer if you ask me) This man is nearing 60yo, and has for far too long gone underappreciated. Give this man an Oscar already
