I've been a tech for a little over 9 years now and I've heard pretty much everything at this point. Ive personally always called them L&U splints because that is what i was orginally taught and its quick and easy but where i am now they like to call them well padded 3 sides splints. Ive also been called to the ER once to do a combustion splint (yea i dont get where they got that term either). Ive also heard them referred to as Seattle or posterior and stirrups. Was just curious if there were any other names out there or what the most common is.
