What do you do as (Mr.) Ornn against Gwen?

Post Body

As much as we all like their interaction together, the question remains of "oh god oh god AP Fiora with untargetability"

Right now on PBE her numbers are really bad. But we can assume that she will be stronger on full release.

There's a gameplay problem and an itemization problem.

The gameplay problem is that her W has the potential to totally shut off segments of Ornn's kit. He likes to poke with Q and use it to threaten an engage. Also her W comes out fast enough that if it's up there no shot of Ornn actually landing it on her.

The itemization problem is even thornier. She has bork-like lifesteal so you need Grevious Wounds ASAP, but the armor on bramble does nothing against her. Merc treads aren't great because her CC sucks anyway. So you can't do anything akin to Bramble/Steelcaps.

You'd want to itemize MR to deal with all her on hit AP. But, raw MR stacking doesn't work either because of her true damage.

So questions:

  1. If you have played Ornn against her on PBE, what is the interaction of her bullshit wall with Ornn's abilities?

  2. How are you supposed to play out the lane? Do you just sit back, pray she wastes her W, and lose lane if she's remotely competent?

  3. What's the item path against her? Do I rush Bramble? Do I focus on MR? Do I build Health?
