Help starting a Speed freaks/Squig army

Hey looking to start building a 40k army, and figure to mix things up from my Orruk AoS I'm going to go for something completely different and collect Orks! Haha! I really love the look of the ork vehicles and the squig riders. Wondering where to start (probably leaning towards the speed freaks to start. Dos any one have any tips for a playable 500pts maybe leading into my first 1000pts? Cheers
